Our partner Andrés Chirgwin was interviewed by Iván Núñez on Radio Universo, in a conversation focused on the responsible, ethical, and conscious use of artificial intelligence in legal practice, and the growing relevance of clear governance standards in its professional application.

During the interview, Andrés discussed the international training and certification on the responsible use of AI, which has become a mandatory training standard for the entire Chirgwin team, positioning the firm as the first Chilean law firm to obtain international certification in this field.

The discussion highlighted that this certification goes beyond the technical use of AI tools, addressing in a comprehensive manner their ethical implications, operational risks, algorithmic bias, confidentiality obligations, decision-making limits, and professional liability.

Consistent with the firm’s approach, the interview reaffirmed that AI must always function as a support tool, subordinate to human legal judgment, professional responsibility, and a robust framework of governance and oversight, particularly in the context of the legal sector’s accelerated digital transformation.
