Celebration of Brazil’s 204th Independence Anniversary Brings Together Leading Members of the Brazilian Community in Chile

Raquel Frattini attended the official reception organized by the Embassy of Brazil in Santiago, an occasion that brought together authorities, business leaders, clients, and members of the Chilean-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

The Embassy of Brazil in Chile recently commemorated the 204th Anniversary of the Independence of the Federative Republic of Brazil with an official reception attended by authorities, business representatives, trade association leaders, and members of the Brazilian community living in Chile.

Representing Chirgwin, our Director of Business Development, Raquel Frattini, participated in the event and had the opportunity to meet with members of the Chilean-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCBC), clients of the firm, particularly Brazilian companies operating in Chile, as well as other key individuals who contribute to strengthening ties between the two countries.

The celebration took place at a particularly significant moment in bilateral relations. Brazil is currently one of Chile’s main trading partners and its leading trading partner in Latin America. Both countries also maintain a robust agenda of economic cooperation and integration, driven by the Chile-Brazil Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force in 2022, as well as a range of initiatives aimed at strengthening trade, investment, innovation, infrastructure, and regional connectivity.

In recent years, economic relations between the two markets have continued to deepen. Brazil remains one of the primary destinations for Chilean investment abroad, while also representing an important source of investment in Chile. In addition, regional integration projects such as the Bioceanic Corridor are expected to create new opportunities for companies operating between the two countries.

Brazil’s Ambassador to Chile, Paulo Pacheco, has emphasized in various interviews the significant potential that still exists for growth in the bilateral relationship, particularly in areas related to trade, investment, innovation, logistics, and business development. He has also highlighted the long-standing strength of the relationship between the two nations and the numerous projects aimed at deepening economic integration and regional cooperation

At Chirgwin, we highly value opportunities such as these, which foster stronger professional networks, encourage new collaborations, and contribute to the continued development of business relations between Chile and Brazil.

We thank the Embassy of Brazil in Santiago for its invitation to this important celebration and extend our special appreciation to Ambassador Paulo Pacheco for his ongoing efforts to promote closer ties between both countries and their business communities.
