Andrés Chirgwin Obtains Certification as Auditor of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence in Chile

Andrés Chirgwin obtained the Auditor of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence certification from ECERLAB, a Labor Competency Evaluation and Certification Center accredited by ChileValora, the entity responsible for administering Chile’s national system for the certification of professional competencies.

This certification is part of a new set of occupational profiles related to artificial intelligence incorporated into the national system and represents a significant milestone for legal practice and technology governance in Chile.


What Does the Auditor of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence Certification Validate?

The Auditor of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence certification formally validates advanced competencies to assess, supervise, and strengthen the ethical integrity of AI systems, throughout their design, implementation, and monitoring stages.

Certified Competencies

The certified competencies include, among others:

  • Identification and assessment of ethical risks associated with artificial intelligence systems.
  • Application of governance, reliability, and technical and social robustness criteria.
  • Analysis of AI systems’ impact on the protection of fundamental rights.
  • Oversight of ethical frameworks and organizational standards in complex technological environments.

With this certification, Andrés Chirgwin becomes the first lawyer in Chile formally accredited to perform this role, reinforcing the connection between law, technology, and applied ethics.
