Lawyer from the Universidad de Concepción where she graduated with maximum distinction. Paz has more than 12 years’ corporate experience in various fields. She worked in her early years with forestry companies (Mininco/CMPC) on regulatory, civil, and commercial matters. Later, she worked as a senior associate of a law firm in the banking area (Banco de Chile) in company structuring, powers of attorney, loans, guarantees, real estate title studies, and purchases.
In 2015 she joined Chirgwin where she has expanded her experience with foreign clients mainly in M&A, commercial contracts, and foreign investment into Chile. She has worked with Chilean and foreign companies in a variety of fields (including renewable energy, agribusiness, tire manufacturing and trade, and mining), providing advice on corporate and corporate governance issues, contracts, real estate, and regulatory matters. She was co-author of the chapter “Corporate Governance and Shareholder Protection” and a contributor to the British Chilean Chamber of Commerce Book “Doing Business in Chile”.
