Legal Free Pill – Chile – USA CDTI

#Legal – The Double Taxation Avoidance Treaty between #Chile and the United States (CDTI) was approved by the United States Senate in June 2023. This treaty aims to prevent double taxation of income earned by taxpayers from both countries and promote bilateral trade and investment.

The #CDTI offers a range of advantages for companies and individuals making investments in Chile and the #USA. These advantages include:

  • Elimination of double taxation.
  • Tax reduction.
  • Streamlining of trade and investment.

The CDTI is not yet in effect, but it is expected to come into force in 2024. Once in effect, it will have a positive impact on trade and investment between Chile and the United States.
